Our web site has two ways to check for availability. You can Click here for all dates TAKEN.
or viewing the combined calendars here:

Q. What is the difference between renting from you and a hotel?

Besides being a $100 or more LESS per night, Our units are booked directly by us and we use local cleaning and maintenance contractors (who are paid a living wage by the way). We are able to offer lower rates because we use low cost internet advertising and we do not use a high cost management company.

Many condo owners will use a management company to get and take reservations, collect the rent, and do the cleaning and maintenance. For this convenience those agents take up to 60% or more of the rental.

By doing away with the agent and daily maid service we can offer rooms 50% or more off their rates!

An advantage you have is that the room you reserve is the exact one you selected.

You do not have daily maid service and if by chance there is any problem with the room, such as ants invaded, neighbors bugging you, a sink is plugged, or whatever, you have to allow us to try to fix it and rarely we can we switch you to another room. Last minute change to a hotel or other place can be costly, and your choice.

So take care in selecting the exact room you want. We loaded the web site with lots of pictures. We have a maintenance contractor check each room before you check in.

The rare time when a guest was not happy was when one spouse selected the room (nicely priced, right?) but the other never saw it before, expecting the Ritz Carlton!

Our units are not low quality at all but they are also not two thousand dollar a night 5 star luxury palaces, either.

The average hotel room on Maui with garden view goes for about $350 a night and if that is your budget, GREAT! but for those who have more modest budgets these units are ideal for you!

Q. How do I make a reservation?

The easiest way is to simply email us your request to info@okmaui.com or you can call us toll free in the U.S. and Canada at 888 546 8664 or 415 256 2597.

Q. I’ve never rented using an Internet connection; how do I know this is for real?

We are a verified PayPal vendor and that is a hard earned status.
BUT if you need a reference, call our homeowner's association manager at the Eldorado 808 667 0021 x213.

Doreen can tell you all about us!

We've been dealing direct with Maui rentals for over 6 years. When you call us you are talking to the owners and not an agent.

Q. Do I get daily maid service?

Our maid service can provide it at extra cost, about $80 for clean up and $27 for linens, but you will have to deal with them direct. Call them at ((808) 669-4313 and make arrangements. PLEASE NOTE: they are locals that earn and deserve a living wage.
Q. Is there room service?

Generally speaking no. Well, there is Pizza Hut and some restaurants have delivery.

But you have a full kitchen and can save lots by making your own meals in house.

Q. What if I have to cancel a reservation?

Tell us as soon as you can since we can refund, but ONLY if we can rebook the unit (less service fees charged by the credit card companies.)

If we get more than a month notice chances are good we may get another guest to take your place. Less than a month is almost impossible. High demand season December to March it is easier to find new guests.

Q. What happens if the condo needs cleaning or maintenance when I’m there?

Give Peggy a call at (808) 669-4313 and they will coordinate the correcton needed.

If it is a cleaning issue plese call them at (808) 669-4313.

Q. What are the directions to the units?

Our units are located in West Maui which is 35 miles from Kahalui Airport (OGG) and a few minutes from Kapalua Airport (JHM).

You want to head for highway 30 and get to Kaanapali basically.

We loaded directions to Hale Ono Loa on this web page.

Q. Any advice on what to do while in Maui??

When you get there, or from here, watch Channel 7 on the cable TV! Maui has sea level to the highest volcano drive and offers endless possibilities.
If going to Maui for the first time, order their DVD or video: very nice guide indeed!
As for us, we generally just get there, do next to nothing, and simply enjoy warm Maui.

Q. How do I check in??

At the Eldorado and Kaanapali Villas there is a front desk that will know you are coming. At the Eldorado there is a $50 check in fee. Parking is also extra $7 a day at the Eldorado and $10 at the Kaanapali Villas (even if yo do not have car!). Sorry we HATE those fees s well but our fellow homeowners approved these things, not us!

At the Hale Ono Loa there is no front desk. Use the lock boxes with the combination we gave you. No check in fee and parking is free! Be sure to register your car with the front office!

Q. How close is the beach?

All of our units are close to the ocean but not direct ocean view, per se. Hale Ono Loa 116 probably has the most blue water view of all of them.

Eldorado - 400 yards across the fairway to great beach. Also you may call front desk and get a cart to take you to the cabana .

Kaanapali Villas - Unit 130 is About 100 yards from a FANTASTIC beach.

Hale Ono Loa - the ocean is 120 feet away but the reef is rocky and slippery. The Beach Park with safe sandy beach is about 10 minute walk south.

Q. Any advice on getting low airfares to Maui?

Use the Internet to compare fares. It has been the case the past year that reserving far in advance will ensure you a HIGH fare! Reserving about a month out is the lowest fares. From SFO or LAX fares range from $299 to $800+ round trip.

We usually use www.alohaair.com or www.ata.com and for last minute fares that are the lowest use www.airtech.com,
